July Challenge

“Real Men (or Boys) don’t…”
Whether you have heard the saying or not I would like you to take inspiration from the saying “real men don’t eat quiche” for this months layout.

Basically I would like you to create a layout capturing your boys doing things that may be the most masculine…so a little bit on the "girly" side...you know maybe it is a secret thing for pink, them in some girly dress-ups, makeup, flowers in there hair… we all have those photos that you think “hmmm that will be a good one for their 21st birthday party…lol”
Anyway now is the time to drag them out and put them on paper…If you don’t have any photos maybe you could journal about it instead…document it before it is forgotten.
Criteria is to start your title with “real men (or boys) don’t….” (mind pink; look bad in heels…etc)
Sorry for the delay in posting this ...I hope you all have fun and I can’t wait to see your layouts.

Amy Welch - Real boys love teddy bears

Scrapping Her Boys

Scrapping her boys this month is Hayley Turner...our winner from Aprils Challenge.
I am a working Mum to Isabelle (3yrs) and Nate (12mths) who are definitely my total inspiration for scrapbooking!! I started scrapping about two and a half years ago when my first daughter was about 3 months old. I always knew that I wanted to keep all my treasured memories and milestones of my children but never really knew how. It was only when I was introduced to scrapbooking that I knew this was how I would go about it.

Probably for the first 2 years it was just a craft that I enjoyed doing if I got any free time and then about twelve months ago I think the addiction really kicked in and now I pretty much scrap in all my free time!! I am totally addicted to challenge blogs at the moment and always on the lookout for a new challenge/inspiration.

I had always scrapped girls till I had my son and found the pages came together fairly easily. For the first 6mths after having Nate I struggled and struggled to get a boy's layout at a level I would be happy with, then someone told me about "Scrap the Boys" to give me some inspiration and since joining in on the last 3 challenges I feel I have finally found my way....although I was extremely shocked....yet very pleased to have been the winner on April's Inspiration challenge!

So a big thanks to Susan and her team for the fantastic challenges every month and I look forward to joining in on many more.
