Meet Our New Design Team (Jan-June 2014)

Firstly, I want to say as HUGE thank you to everyone who applied for our team. We had a massive response, and were overwhelmed with the talent out there. Therefore, our team is bigger than I had original anticipated.

ANNOUNCING OUR NEW DESIGN TEAM FOR 2014 (Jan-June)

Continuing on from 2013 (as they only did 3 months) are:

ANNE PATTERSON

Anne Patterson

http://scraptastic-stuff.blogspot.com/

My name is Anne and I am a ‘scrap-a-holic’.  I have been scrapbooking now for about 9 years and started, as many of us do, after going to a Creative Memories Party.  I have been on several design teams, but I am currently on Scrapmatts and X-Press It.  I have two boys who are almost 10 and 8 and a very supportive husband.  Lots of boys in my life so it makes it easy to be able to “Scrap the Boys” in my life.  I love trying new techniques but my favourite, if you hadn’t discovered this yet, is to sew.

KERRYN FRY

Hi there! My name is Kerryn, I am a country born girl living in the suburbs of Adelaide with my fiancée Shane and son, Harrison. I was originally dragged into scrapbooking by my Mother nearly 10 years ago and there wasn't any serious creating for the first couple of years. In 2007 I joined my first online forum and have not looked back since, now it is definitely classed as an obsession.

I am currently designing for Scrapbook Savvy, Words or Whatever Chipboard ans Stuck?! Sketches, but in the past I have created for Bella Blvd, 123 Challenge, Kraft It Up and a few American online stores.

It's a privilege to be back with Scrap The Boys and be amongst such awesome talent. I am really looking forward to 2014.

JOINING US FROM AROUND AUSTRALIA are:

BECK BEATTIE

Beck Beattie

http://scrappychatdesigns.blogspot.com.au/

I am from Melbourne Australia and I have been scrapbooking for 6 years and although I started with a more feminine vintage style, it changed quickly when I had my first son Austin 4.5 years ago.  Falling pregnant again there was a chance that I would have a pretty little girl with all her pretty little things to scrap pretty frilly layouts, but no I had another boy Toby.  I LOVE my boys and capturing their personalities, antics and just everyday moments.  They are featured VERY strongly in all my work of which I am now known more for my boy style layouts so I guess applying for Scrap the Boys Design team was just a matter of time.   I recently finished up designing for Helmar, Manor House and DownUnder direct design teams and timing is right for a new challenge for me.  I am currently still part of the Spellbinders Design team and my own kit club with Scrappy Chat Designs which in the main feature boy/male layouts.  I also currently design for Australian Scrapbook Ideas as well as Scrapbooking Memories Magazine.  I am very excited to be playing along this term with Scrap the boys and hope to inspire others who love to scrap the males in their lives

KAREN GROSE

Hi everyone, I'm Karen and am from Melbourne, Australia. I'm married and have 3 boys - Ethan, Bailey and Aidan, and am almost 40 :). I'm very excited to be part of this fantastic group of ladies on the Scrap the Boys team. I've been scrapping for 7 years with my main inspiration coming from my boys - although it's getting harder to snap the eldest now days!! My style is grungy, messy, "arty" and very masculine. I love stencils, masks, paints and sprays, and you will always see them on my work. I also love colour, the bolder the better, and love a grungy background on my work. I am inspired by everyday life with my scrapping. The little things the boys say and do, special events - anything really that I can tell the story for my family for many years to come. Lately I have discovered "Project Life" and love how that also gives me another outlet to create memories for my children.

I'm currently a DT member for Scrapbook Savvy, as well as a Project Life DT member for the Scrapbook Creations blog.

I look forward to working on the STB team, and can't wait to hopefully inspire you all.

LEONIE NEAL-DAWSON

Leonie Neal-Dawson

http://leonieslife-leonie.blogspot.com.au

Hello.  My name is Leonie Neal-Dawson and I’m so pleased to be on the Scrap The Boys Team with a fabulous bunch of talented scrapbookers.

The potted version of my Scrapbooking life to date?  Well I’ve been at it for over ten years now and totally love, love, love it to death!  Sound obsessed?  Yeah that would be me.

I try to do something scrappy everyday if time permits.  Style wise I like bright colours and creating fun mixed media type backgrounds behind my photo’s.

I’m very fortunate to have been on some wonderful design teams, most recently of which are the 2012 throughout 2013 Scrapbooking Memories Masters team, the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Guest Design Team, Sassy Scrapper online store and Scrap Around The World challenge blog.

I have four children, three of them boys!!  So I shouldn’t be short on photo’s for my role here.  Thank you Wendy for having me on the Scrap The Boys Team. :)

RIKKI GRAZIANI

Rikki Graziani

http://justtoobsessed-rikki.blogspot.com.au/

Hi my name is Rikki Graziani aka Prissy B1tch (a nickname that was given to me out of love from my girlfriends and has stuck).

I have been scrapbooking for over 12 years but really got into after my first son was born in 2002. I have been madly obsessed by scrapbooking for almost half of my life. I never thought that a hobby that I took up as a teenager would still be fulfilling as an adult, but I continue to be inspired day after day. My children Tristan (10), Ethan (8) and Amelia (3) and I have been trying to make more effort in stepping in front of the camera, and to DH (Scott) disgust doing the same with him!!!

2011 marked my first offer of a place on a design team (LSS), and I am very blessed to be able to share this craft will all the great people I meet. Scrapping has become not just a community but almost a sisterhood - a way to share and bond. Let's just say I get far more from scrapping than beautiful layouts.

My style is an ever changing one, I am naturally arty, I like to try a number of different styles and techniques, I don’t think I have a particular style, as I scrap nearly every photo that I have, (I must say that when I first started scrapping girl pages it was hard to wrap my head around but now I am very proud, that I can do them). I also scrapbook because I love photography and like the idea that future generations will get to know me through my pages.

SANDRA WALLACE

Sandra Wallace

http://backinmycorner.blogspot.com.au/

Hi!
My name is Sandra. I live with my husband and 2 children in a small rural town called Cummins in South Australia.
I started scrapbooking around 5 or 6  years ago (sorry, but when you reach my age the years all blend together! so not exactly sure how long I have been scrapping. lol)
and it has been an obsession of mine ever since.
I don't think I have a particular style, as it has evolved with time, but if I had to give it a name I would say it is the "Forrest Gump" style. You never know what you are going to get. :-)
I love the world of online scrapbooking and challenge blogs and the inspiration and friendships you find along the way. Whether it be blog hopping, checking out the galleries and forums and of course my
second residence, Facebook. lol.
My 'creds', so to speak, are being on the current CT of the challenge blog White with 1, a former DT member of Twiddleybitz, and I have also been lucky enough to be published a few times in Scrapbooking Memories, Scrapbook Creations and also Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft.
I am very excited to start my next scrapbooking adventure with Wendy and the rest of the talented creativies that make up the team of Scrap The Boys.
Let the fun begin!

My scrapbooking obsession began two months after my son was born - starting with his milestones and then growing into scrapping about everything! I also have a little handmade scrapbooking business called Charms Creations, which also keeps me very busy!
I am so excited at being part of the team at Scrap the Boys and can't wait to scrap MORE of my "boys" throughout the next 6 months!

Hi, my name is Sarah Hemmings and I live on a farm outside of Dalby, a few hours west of Brisbane. I am married to Tony and have two very active boys, Mitchell (11) and Lachlan (8).

My scrapbook albums are full of layouts about the boys’ life on the farm as well as their busy sporting life with many of my pages focusing on their swimming and soccer pursuits.
